This role is for one of our clients Compensation: $65-$70 per hour Join an advanced AI safety initiative focused on improving how next-generation AI systems understand and reason about complex biological sciences. We are seeking PhD-level biologists with strong research expertise to evaluate AI-generated content, develop expert-level prompts, and help ensure AI models produce scientifically accurate, responsible, and safe responses. No prior experience in artificial intelligence or machine learning is required. Comprehensive training will be provided to familiarize you with the evaluation workflow and project guidelines. Requirements Key Responsibilities Develop expert-level prompts covering specialized topics within the biological and life sciences. Review, evaluate, and annotate AI-generated responses for scientific accuracy, completeness, clarity, and practical usefulness. Assess model outputs for the appropriate handling of sensitive biological and biosecurity-related topics. Apply structured evaluation guidelines to classify prompts, conversations, and model responses consistently. Contribute scientific expertise to improve the safety, reliability, and quality of advanced AI systems. Core Qualifications PhD (completed or currently pursuing) in Biology or a closely related life science discipline, including: Molecular Biology Microbiology Virology Genetics Biochemistry Bioinformatics Synthetic Biology Immunology Other relevant biological sciences Strong understanding of modern laboratory methodologies and computational techniques relevant to your area of specialization. Excellent scientific reasoning, analytical thinking, and written communication skills in English. Sound professional judgment regarding biosecurity, biosafety, and the responsible handling of dual-use biological information. Preferred Qualifications Research or academic experience involving biosafety, biosecurity, pathogen biology, or gain-of-function considerations. Experience reviewing, evaluating, grading, or red-teaming scientific or technical content. Strong attention to detail and the ability to apply structured evaluation guidelines consistently. Project Details Immediate project start. Flexible, part-time engagement of 15–25 hours per week , with the opportunity to increase availability to 40 hours per week based on project needs.
