The Communications Specialist will report to the PR & Influencer Manager (Australia) and support campaign execution, earned media coverage and influencer activities for the PlayStation brand within the Australian market.
This role supports local communications initiatives across PlayStation hardware, software (1st and key 3rd party titles), PS Store and PS Plus subscription services. Working closely with Global Communications, local Marketing, Sales and agency partners, the Communications Specialist will help deliver impactful campaigns that drive awareness, engagement and positive brand sentiment.
This position combines media relations, influencer coordination, campaign execution and reporting responsibilities, with a strong focus on understanding the Australian media landscape and local influencer ecosystem.

What You’ll Be Doing: You will support the PR and Influencer Manager in:
Media & Communications Campaign Support
Deliver local communications activity for PlayStation brand campaigns, including game titles, hardware launches, services and third-party partnerships
Support the execution of PR plans including media outreach, pitching, asset distribution and press coordination
Build and maintain relationships with Australian gaming, tech, entertainment, lifestyle and mainstream media
Draft and localise press releases, media alerts, Q&As and briefing documents
Manage inbound media enquiries and assist with spokesperson coordination
Coordinate review code distribution and product seeding
Support press events, previews, launch moments and cultural activations
Ensure local communications output aligns with global messaging and objectives
Monitor coverage and manage reporting across key campaign beats
Influencer & Creator Campaign Support
Support the execution of Australian influencer campaigns (organic and paid) across YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Twitch and emerging platforms
Identify and engage relevant Australian influencers and content creators across gaming and adjacent verticals including sport, entertainment and lifestyle
Assist in briefing influencers, tracking deliverables and managing timelines
Maintain an up-to-date Australian influencer database
Monitor creator content, social conversation and sentiment
Support campaign reporting including KPI tracking and performance insights
Keep a strong pulse on Australian digital culture and creator trends
Reporting & Collaboration
Track media coverage and assist in evaluating campaign performance against KPIs
Compile coverage reports and post-campaign analysis
Collaborate closely with the PR & Influencer Manager to support integrated earned and creator activity
Work cross-functionally with Marketing, Partnerships, Retail and Global teams to deliver cohesive campaigns
Identify new local media and influencer opportunities within the Australian market
Support broader Global Communication initiatives where required
