Description
The Experience Research team at Asana is focused on understanding the dynamics of modern work, the role technology plays, and how we can empower teams to thrive in a collaborative environment. Our work informs teams at every level of the company and drives key roadmap decisions. We’re looking for an experienced Intelligence Analyst to join a dynamic and growing research team. You’ll operate with a team of designers, PMs, marketers and other cross-functional partners, accountable for delivering strategic insights that drive meaningful impact. This means you’re hands on at each level and scope of research, from the generative to the evaluative and everything in between.  Why This Role Matters Our work informs teams at every level of the company and drives key roadmap decisions. You will be the execution engine of Asana’s Competitive Product Intelligence (CPI) program, ensuring our outputs—teardowns, feature matrices, and monitoring digests—are continuously running, current, and high quality. You will sit at a genuinely new intersection: part researcher, part automation engineer, and part knowledge curator. If you are energized by building AI-augmented workflows and want to do work that directly shapes product strategy, this is the role for you. This role is based in our Warsaw office with an office-centric hybrid schedule. The standard in-office days are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Most Asanas have the option to work from home on Wednesdays. Working from home on Fridays depends on the type of work you do, and your recruiter can share more about the in-office requirements. We offer a Contract of Employment (UoP) for our employees in Poland. What you’ll achieve Operate and maintain the AI monitoring stack: configure alerts, manage changelog trackers, run review aggregation pipelines, and triage the daily signal stream for what matters Execute rapid, high-quality teardowns on competitor releases (2–3 per month), using AI-assisted workflows to accelerate and templated formats to ensure consistency Maintain and update the Feature Matrix on a defined cadence, keeping confidence levels, status ratings, and sources current Empower Asana’s leadership by producing weekly competitor digests that provide PM, PMM, and Design leads with the signal they need to make fast, strategic decisions Build, document, and improve the LLM-assisted research workflows used by the team (prompt engineering, pipeline maintenance, quality evaluation) Support the CPI Lead on deep teardowns: conduct structured user flows, capture evidence, and draft analysis sections Manage the CPI knowledge base: taxonomy, tagging, access, and searchability Translate competitive signals into strategic implications — not just "what changed" but "why it matters and what we should do about it". Develop a deep, hands-on understanding of Asana's product and the broader work management category so your teardowns go beyond feature comparisons to reveal meaningful strategic differentiation. About you 6-8 years in product research, UX research, competitive intelligence, or a closely related field Hands-on experience with AI/LLM tools and a genuine interest in building automated research workflows — you do not just use AI reactively; you build systems with it Experience with competitive intelligence or market intelligence tooling (Crayon, Klue, G2, SimilarWeb, etc.)  Structured, detail-oriented approach to analysis; you produce work that others can rely on and build from Comfort with knowledge management tools and a strong instinct for information architecture (how things should be organized so people can find them) Capable of connecting work across the R&D and Marketing to ensure maximum value and cohesion of insights Clear written communication; you can write a tight, useful competitor digest that a busy PM will actually read You identify patterns across competitor moves to surface
