Role Scope & Purpose The DevOps & Cloud Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud environments that enable software delivery at speed and scale. This role bridges development and operations, automating processes, ensuring system reliability, and building a cloud-native infrastructure that supports the engineering team's ability to ship quickly and confidently. The DevOps Engineer champions a culture of automation, observability, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS, GCP, or Azure using infrastructure-as-code such as Terraform or CloudFormation. Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate testing, building, and deployment processes. Manage containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes (EKS, GKE, or AKS). Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems such as Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, or CloudWatch. Ensure system reliability, availability, and performance, leading incident response and post-mortem processes. Manage cloud cost optimization and enforce infrastructure best practices. Implement and maintain security controls across the infrastructure including IAM, secrets management, and network security. Collaborate with engineering teams to improve developer experience, tooling, and deployment workflows. Manage environment configuration, secrets management, and environment parity. Maintain infrastructure documentation and runbooks. Requirements Requirements 3 to 5 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering. Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure). Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation. Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes). Strong experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or CircleCI. Proficiency in at least one scripting language (Bash, Python, or Go). Strong understanding of networking, security, and cloud architecture principles.
