THE OPPORTUNITY: Product Coordinator
REPORTS TO: Color Specialist
LOCATION: LA - Hybrid
Headquartered in Los Angeles, CA with an office in New York, NY, Birdy Grey supports hybrid work for eligible roles. This role will work from our DTLA office 3-4 days a week. This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship. #LI-Hybrid
We're looking for a Product Coordinator to join our Product & Design team as an entry-level support role. We’re a product obsessed company and looking for a detail oriented self started to join the product creation team. You'll assist with our color process and serve as a support to design as well. This role will function to keep the day-to-day admin of product development organized and on track. This is a great first step into apparel product development for someone who's eager to learn, detail-oriented, and excited to grow alongside our product team.
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Color Assisting
Help track lab dips and strike-offs as they come in from vendors, logging them against approved color standards
Organize and label physical color swatches and submissions for review
Maintain a running tracker of color approval status by style and fabric so the team always knows what's pending, approved, or needs a resubmit
Keep color approval status updated in our product data system (Airtable Product Master)
Design Support
Help prepare and organize reference materials, trims, and comp samples for design reviews
Help keep style and product records up to date as details are finalized
Coordinate color request with Color Manager
Take detailed notes in fit sessions and cross functional PD meetings
Keep shared trackers and files organized for the Product & Design team's samples, approvals, and open action items
Update linesheets as needed
Provide ad hoc administrative and studio support to the Design and Product teams as needed
THE RIGHT CANDIDATE: QUALIFICATIONS & PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree Required
EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENTS:
1-3 years of experience in a production, color, design, product development
A genuine interest in color, fabric, and apparel design, with an eye for detail
Extremely Organized and reliable; comfortable juggling several small tasks at once without letting things slip
Comfortable with spreadsheets and willing to learn new tools (Airtable experience a plus, not required)
Excited about AI and actively leverage AI tools (e.g., Claude, Gemini, Copilot) to accelerate your own work and identify opportunities to embed AI-driven automation across operations
Impeccable organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform data deep dives to surface actionable insights.
Proactive problem solver with the ability to troubleshoot and/or escalate issues effectively.
Hard working and willing to roll sleeves up - no job is too big or too small.
You have an entrepreneurial spirit. You thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, fluid environment. You are comfortable with ambiguity and take initiative to lead projects.
