The role
We’re looking for an experienced quantitative Research Manager who enjoys managing flagship research projects and turning complex survey data into compelling insight.
The role is ideal for someone who has extensive experience designing and delivering large-scale global B2B research projects, and applying advanced statistical analysis techniques (including regression analysis, driver analysis, predictive modelling, weighting survey data, running segmentation, creating indexes). We’re looking for someone with a passion for applying these skills to our award-winning global thought leadership campaigns.
No two days are the same for a Research Manager at FT Longitude. In one week, you might design a weighting methodology for a global survey, build a driver analysis to uncover the factors influencing business decision-making, present your analytical approach to a client, and work with our editorial team to translate complex statistical outputs into compelling thought leadership. Alongside project delivery, you'll help shape new research methodologies, experiment with AI-enabled tools and contribute to the ongoing evolution of our research offering.
Key responsibilities
Work with project bid team to design research solutions for project proposals
Independently manage flagship and complex research projects through the fieldwork lifecycle, overseeing questionnaire design, scripting, translations, fieldwork, data processing and vendor relationships, while applying robust quality assurance processes to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest standards
Design and deliver advanced analytical techniques that answer client objectives, presenting methodologies and findings to clients and editorial teams, and supporting the integration of insight into the campaign
Collaborate closely with research, editorial, commercial and project management teams throughout the research process, proactively sharing expertise, mentoring junior colleagues, strengthening relationships with research partners and contributing to the continuous development of the team's research capability
Act as a trusted research adviser to clients, providing expert guidance on research design, questionnaire development, analytical methodologies and interpretation of findings, while leading client relationships throughout the research lifecycle where appropriate
Leverage AI and emerging research technologies to streamline research workflows, enhance analytical capabilities and support the continuous development of innovative research methodologies, products and best practice across the team
