The Public Ledger of Openings

How this ledger is built

A plain record is only worth something if you can see how it was made. Here is exactly what we collect, what we derive, and what we refuse to guess at.

Where the listings come from

Employers' own career pages (Workday, Greenhouse, Lever, Personio, BambooHR and a dozen others), open government feeds (EURES, USAJOBS, Bundesagentur für Arbeit, France Travail, JobTech Sweden, NAV), and listings submitted directly by employers. We do not republish third-party job-board or aggregator content.

What we derive, and how confident we are

The source data has no job category and no seniority. We derive both from the job title — first with an open rule set, then with a language model for what the rules cannot place. Every derived value carries a confidence score, and anything below the threshold is shown as "Uncategorised" or "Not stated" rather than as a guess dressed up as a fact.

What we will not do

We do not estimate salaries. Roughly one listing in ten states pay; the rest show a dash. We do not invent company headcounts. Where a remote status was inferred from the listing text rather than stated by the employer, the row says so with an asterisk.

How fresh it is

Listings are re-checked continuously and carry a "last verified" date. Anything that disappears from its source board is removed from the ledger. Right now: 986,449 live openings from 56,623 employers, 172,372 of them posted in the last seven days.

Corrections

If something here is wrong about your company or your listing, tell us and we will fix or remove it — there is a form on the Contact page.
