Description of Role:
The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, managing, tracking and reporting of all project activities. In this role, the PM will be supporting Research and Preclinical projects – projects will include new implementations as well as enhancements to existing systems/applications. The position sits within the PMO and thus will need to support key project management processes and reporting requirements.
IT Project Manager Responsibilities:
Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of projects in accordance with the project timeline and budget; Manage project scope, goals, and deliverables that support project objectives in collaboration with project stakeholders;
Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring that project deliverables are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
Manage deliverables and ensure stakeholders are engaged and responsive;
Oversee and drive all project team management and controls in accordance client’s PMO methodology (e.g., project planning, scope, issue and risk management, decisions tracking, meeting coordination and minutes, etc.)
Manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, identifying potential problems and implementing solutions to mitigate them;
Monitor projects and utilize client’s IT SDLC project processes and artifacts to report on project progress and provide written project status for project reviews.
Develop, manage and report on project financials, as required by client;
Ensure effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams and third-party vendors;
Ensure that all project documentation is complete, accurate, and up to date.
Support IT security/infrastructure review process for new IT systems, as applicable
Requirements:
Experience managing successful IT projects including project dashboard/status updates, stakeholder management, vendor management, timeline management, and tracking of key risks, issues, activities, and deliverables
4+ years working in a regulated pharmaceutical organization, CRO or FSP; must have experience supporting projects in the Research and/or Preclinical domain (e.g. ELN, LIMS, Imagine, Digital Pathology, Instrument Data Capture)
8+ years as a project manager and business analyst
Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of a matrix organization
Ability to work in a collaborative team environment – willing to pitch in to achieve goals and maintain relationships with business leads, stakeholders, business users, technical team, validation, quality, and vendor resources
Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
Demonstrated ability to establish and meet priorities and deadlines
