The Accounts Payable Specialist   is responsible for   supporting the day-to-day AP function for multiple schools and clients, ensuring invoices are processed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with company and client policies. This role requires attention to detail,   strong communication   skills, and the ability to provide exceptional service to school leaders, staff, and external partners. The AP Specialist plays a key role in   maintaining   smooth financial operations so that schools can focus on their mission of providing an excellent education to students. Key Responsibilities: • Receive, review, and accurately process invoices from assigned schools. • Verify coding and enter invoices into accounting software   in a timely manner . • Generate reports, troubleshoot issues, and resolve discrepancies proactively. • Prepare and issue payments, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance. • Maintain   organized and   accurate   AP records and documentation. • Perform quality control checks to prevent errors and delays. • Build and   maintain   strong, professional relationships with school administrators, staff, and external vendors. • Provide training and guidance to school staff on AP procedures and systems. • Collaborate with internal teams—including Payroll, Finance, Client Account Management, and Senior Management—to ensure efficient and   accurate   operations. • Identify   and recommend improvements to AP processes, workflows, and systems. Minimum Qualifications: • 1–3 years of experience in accounts payable, finance, or a related role. • Experience working directly with customers and/or vendors. • Proficiency   in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting systems. • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage deadlines. • Detail-oriented, proactive, and committed to accuracy and service excellence.
