Summary of Role: GlobalFoundries Singapore is   seeking   curious, motivated Process & Equipment Engineering interns to join   our wafer   fabrication operations. Every chip starts as a bare silicon substrate and moves through hundreds of precisely controlled steps — as an intern, you will work alongside an assigned engineer to help monitor those critical steps, catch abnormalities early, and drive improvements that protect   wafer   quality and yield. Essential Responsibilities & Project may include: In your role as an Engineering Intern, you will be paired with an assigned Engineer to: • Support equipment preventive maintenance — execute scheduled maintenance and troubleshooting on time in support of production, protecting uptime,   quality   and cost • Assist   with tool installation,   modification   and hardware repair to improve capacity,   throughput   and overall tool efficiency • Reduce variability in process recovery procedures and standardize processes across equipment • Review, analyze and respond to inline process control charts to meet quality,   cost   and productivity goals • Improve early problem detection, including enhancements to limits of detection (LOD), and strengthen process performance measurement techniques • Execute actions to   optimize   production moves, qualify new processes, and reduce the cost of chemicals and/or qualification wafers • Participate in quality improvement and cross-functional team projects, offering constant feedback on areas of improvement • Lead an improvement project end-to-end and present your results What   You’ll   Gain: • Hands-on exposure at a semiconductor manufacturing company, shadowing experts and supporting real production work • A working understanding of the wafer fabrication process and your assigned process module • Roundtable sessions with local leadership and cross-department networking opportunities • A capstone presentation at the end of the internship covering your project results,   learnings   and recommendations for improvement Other Responsibilities: • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security   requirements   and programs. Required Qualifications: • Education – Actively pursuing a   Bachelors   degree in   Chemical Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science & Engineering, Chemistry or Physics   or related field through an accredited degree program during the time of internship. • Must be in good academic standing. • Ability to work at least   40 hours   per week during the internship. • Available for a 16– 24 week   credit-bearing internship   commencing   January 2027.
