Why Tallahassee is the Place to Be:
Known as the "Capital City," Tallahassee is a vibrant Florida gem that perfectly blends Southern hospitality with a high-energy center of government and education. It is a place where you can stroll beneath centuries-old live oak canopies in the morning and engage with cutting-edge research at a world-class laboratory by the afternoon. With a metro population of approximately 390,000, Tallahassee is large enough to host major universities and national conferences, yet small enough to maintain a lush, hilly, and community-focused atmosphere.
Tallahassee Lifestyle:
Natural & Historic Beauty: Often celebrated for its rolling hills and "Canopy Roads," the city is home to historic landmarks like the Old Capitol and the 1840s-era Grove Museum.
Cultural Roots: As a focal point for Florida history, the city hosts the annual Springtime Tallahassee festival and a rich array of events celebrating African American heritage, particularly in the historic Frenchtown district.
Strategic Stability: As the state capital, Tallahassee offers the economic resilience of a government hub paired with the youthful innovation of a major college town.
