Analytics Engineer
We are looking for a talented Analytics Engineer to join our Data Mission, where you’ll transform data into valuable insights that enhance user experiences and empower our analyst community while encouraging best data modelling practices. Using a cutting-edge tech stack including dbt, Databricks, and Kafka, you'll define the standards that the team works to and build the data products that power decisions for millions of users.
We are proud to say that our engineers at ClearScore are world class and at the heart of making this mission a reality. For more information on our tech stack check out our 2026 Tech Radar , how we work is summarised in our Engineering Principles and we have many other Tech Blogs on Medium
What you will be doing:
Collaborating with teams across our business to design and build data products that directly support our 26 million users to make more empowered financial decisions, serving the operational platform and CRM
As part of an engineering team, building high quality and reliable data pipelines.
Upholding best practice standards across our data, from data modelling conventions and dbt patterns to testing, documentation, and observability
Solving business problems creatively and automating day-to-day processes
Taking technical ownership of data initiatives, leading delivery end-to-end across multiple components, stakeholders, and delivery phases
Investigating, communicating and resolving data related incidents with the team
Skills we'd love you to have
You not only have the technical expertise but are also able to understand and deliver on business requirements and analysts needs
You are experienced in SQL and dbt, and you apply this to design and build robust, scalable data transformations on platforms like Databricks
You have strong communication skills, and the ability to explain technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders
You have experience diagnosing and resolving production issues, and you design pipelines with testing, monitoring, and maintainability in mind
You have experience with orchestration tooling (e.g. Databricks Workflows)
You write clear and effective documentation
Familiarity with data activation tools (e.g. Hightouch) or streaming platforms (e.g. Kafka) is a bonus
Showing genuine curiosity about the many ways in which our data is used to impact our business and our users
