Job Description – Apprentice (Instrumentation) Position Apprentice – Instrumentation Department Engineering – Instrumentation Location Ambernath, Maharashtra Qualification Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical & Instrumentation Engineering, or a related discipline. Freshers are encouraged to apply. Job Purpose To support the Instrumentation team in the installation, calibration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and documentation of plant instrumentation systems while ensuring compliance with safety standards, engineering practices, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Key Responsibilities Assist in the installation, calibration, and preventive maintenance of field instruments such as pressure, temperature, flow, and level transmitters. Support routine inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of instrumentation and control systems. Assist in maintaining PLC, SCADA, HMI, and automation systems under the guidance of senior engineers. Participate in calibration activities and maintain calibration records in accordance with GMP requirements. Support breakdown maintenance to minimize equipment downtime. Assist in the testing and commissioning of new instruments and control systems. Maintain instrument history records, maintenance logs, and engineering documentation. Ensure proper housekeeping of the instrumentation workshop and work areas. Follow EHS guidelines, permit-to-work systems, and safe work practices while carrying out maintenance activities. Coordinate with Production, Maintenance, Quality Assurance, and other departments during maintenance and calibration activities. Perform any other assignments as directed by the reporting manager. Skills & Competencies Basic knowledge of industrial instrumentation and process control systems. Understanding of sensors, transmitters, control valves, PLC, SCADA, and HMI systems. Familiarity with calibration techniques and preventive maintenance practices. Basic understanding of electrical circuits and industrial automation. Good analytical and troubleshooting skills. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. Good communication and teamwork skills. Willingness to learn and work in a regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
