Charles River Associates is a global consulting firm providing economic, financial, and forensic analysis services. This role is an Associate Principal in the Forensic Services practice, leading digital forensic investigations for clients in matters involving fraud, trade secret theft, and cybercrime, while managing teams and driving business development. What You'll Do • Lead digital forensic investigations and data collection for clients, handling macOS, iOS, Android, Windows, and Linux devices • Perform forensic analysis of macOS artifacts including plists, unified logs, FS Events, and spotlight metadata • Conduct mobile device extractions and file system examinations using open-source and commercial forensic tools • Supervise project teams, manage quality assurance, and oversee work product delivery to clients • Serve as primary client contact, provide expert witness testimony, and build relationships with law enforcement agencies • Lead business development efforts including proposal drafting, client pitches, and team recruiting What You Need • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field (can be waived with sufficient experience) • 7-10+ years of experience in cyber intrusion investigation, digital forensics, or incident response analysis • Deep knowledge of macOS, Windows, and Linux operating systems, and APFS, HFS+, FAT, and NTFS file systems • Training, certifications, or working experience investigating macOS forensic artifacts • Working knowledge of open-source and commercial forensic software, particularly for macOS and iOS analysis • Ability to lead teams, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines • Experience functioning as a testifying expert, digital forensic examiner, or incident responder • Willing and able to travel for client projects Nice to Have • Experience leading data analytics engagements • Deep knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, design, traffic flow) • Web technologies expertise $140,000–$170,000 annual base salary, plus eligible bonus incentive compensation.
