Position Overview Behavioral Health Technicians (BHT’s) monitor and assist adolescent clients in the residential milieu, lead activities designed to help the residents adjust to living in a community setting and assist the residents in gaining the skills needed to manage their eating disorder. BHT’s play an integral role in the day-to-day function of the clients’ experience. Schedule Full-time (32 hours per week) Evening/Overnight Evening Shifts: 2pm-10:30pm, 4pm-12:30am Overnight Shifts: 10pm-6:30am Every other weekend required (Saturday & Sunday) Schedule is made a month at a time with a combination of both evening and overnight shifts Compensation Disclosure BHT I: Starting hourly range between $18.00-$21.00 Final Compensation offered will be within pay range based on qualifications/experience met for the position How BHT’s Empower Recovery Partners with the multi-disciplinary team on care plan and treatment, assisting in admissions, supporting or assisting clients in programming Participates in therapeutic meals and snacks and provides support during structured outings and recreation Available to engage, challenge, and support residents as needed. Reports observations and documents in charts Monitors and supports bathroom use per client treatment direction. Monitors and documents exercise. Responsible for enforcing appropriate policies with residents and completing all expected tasks including hourly room-checks Minnesota Requirements: · An Associate’s degree in a mental health–related field (such as mental or behavioral health, counseling, or behavioral sciences) is required to meet Minnesota DHS licensure standards for the Mental Health Rehabilitation Worker classification. Or · A high school diploma and at least one year / 2,000 hours of direct patient care experience in a mental or behavioral health setting is also required. Professional Qualifications: · This is an entry-level position; however, 6+ months of direct client care / milieu experience in a mental/behavioral health or healthcare setting, particularly with eating disorders is preferred. · Completion of Preceptor Program preferred. Other Qualifications: · Employees at Residential or Inpatient sites must have a valid driver’s license and be authorized to drive. · Employees at Residential or Inpatient sites are required to have a current Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire. · Employees at Residential or Inpatient sites are required to have a current First Aid certification within 30 days of hire. · Employees at Residential or Inpatient sites in North Carolina or Georgia are required to have a current CPI certification within 30 days of hire. · Employees at Residential site in Washington are required to have a Washington State Department of Health Food Handler permit within 30 days of hire.
