Who you are: The successful candidate must understand basic bookkeeping principals, be detail oriented and able to work under tight deadlines. A sense of urgency, while maintaining quality standards is essential. They will have strong interpersonal and communication skills allowing them to collaborate with other departments to ensure timely completion of their responsibilities. They will enjoy working in a fun, fast paced environment where teamwork is essential. Key Responsibilities: • Disburse funds to vendors and/or brokers by EFT, Wire or Cheque. Ensure accuracy by understanding the transaction types and balancing between the operational systems and accounting system. • Validate the data upload between the front and back-end systems. Ensure that the financial elements of the finance contract are accurately set up, including the payment streams and tax set up. • Ensure quality control with respect to accuracy of funder checklists, bank information supplied and compliance with corporate policy • Send communication letters to customers as required • Reconcile General Ledger accounts relating to lease cost and commission paid • Track funding errors and liaise with Department Team Lead to reduce error ratios • Meet company service levels related to funding turn around, response times and problem resolution. • Follow up and resolve any pending items related to booking • Other duties as may be required Skills, Knowledge and Experience: • Must have a strong aptitude for math • 1-2 years experience in a bookkeeping capacity; previous finance experience is an asset • Detail orientated, with excellent organizational and follow up skills • Ability to prioritize, organize and execute in a fast-paced demanding environment • Successfully adapts to changing situations • Ability to manage multiple projects, activities, and tasks simultaneously • Strong oral and written communication skills, ability to develop and maintain internal and external relationships • Energetic team player with ability to work independently • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel • Delivering Results – achieves goals and meets deadlines • Knowledge of NetSuite and Aspire is an asset
