Managing day-to-day operations of the People team, the part-time California HR Generalist will support onboarding, maintain employee records, coordinate payroll inputs, and respond to employee inquiries in a remote environment. Key responsibilities • Run the full new hire process and coordinate offboarding logistics • Maintain accurate employee records in the HRIS and support compliance for a multi-state employer • Assist with payroll preparation and serve as the first point of contact for employee benefits questions Required qualifications • 2+ years of HR experience in a generalist, coordinator, or people operations role • Working knowledge of California employment basics, including wage and hour laws • Experience with an HRIS and ability to learn new systems quickly • High discretion with confidential information • Strong organizational skills and reliability
