Certified Wastewater Plant Operator (Levels 2-4) - Personna Employment Solutions | Pasco, WA (On-site) Join a team dedicated to public health, environmental stewardship, and critical infrastructure. We are seeking Certified Wastewater Plant Operators (Levels 2-4) to operate, maintain, monitor, and optimize a modern municipal wastewater treatment facility serving a rapidly growing community. Advanced treatment processes: extended aeration activated sludge, anaerobic digestion, screening, clarification, solids thickening, UV disinfection, and process control/regulatory compliance. Key responsibilities: - Monitor and control wastewater treatment processes and equipment - Perform preventative maintenance and routine equipment inspections - Troubleshoot pumps, motors, valves, controls, instrumentation, and treatment systems - Collect operational data and maintain accurate logs, reports, and records - Monitor process performance and make operational adjustments - Respond to alarms, operational issues, and emergency situations - Support regulatory compliance and permit requirements - Assist with facility maintenance, process improvements, and optimization - Maintain a safe working environment and follow all safety procedures Working environment: municipal wastewater treatment facilities; mechanical, electrical, and process equipment; confined space entry; on-call and emergency response; exposure to chemicals, fumes, noise, and dust. Frequent standing, walking, climbing, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs; indoor and outdoor work in varying weather. Required for all levels: High School Diploma or GED, Valid Driver's License, current First Aid and CPR certification. - Level 2: WA State Level 2 Wastewater Certification (or OIT 3), plus 1+ year of treatment-plant operations experience with process-control responsibilities - Level 3: WA State Level 3 Certification (or OIT 4), plus 2+ years - Level 4: WA State Level 4 Certification, plus 2+ years Ideal backgrounds: Municipal wastewater treatment, Public works operations, Water and wastewater utilities, Environmental services, Utility operations, Industrial water treatment, Process control, Treatment plant operations, Environmental compliance
