Working with the Chef de Cuisine and Sous Chef, the position balances daily production, team coordination, food safety, presentation, and creative development while ensuring every item meets the resort 's culinary standards. Key Responsibilities * Organize and manage mise en place for the assigned pastry section. * Prepare pastries, desserts, baked products, garnishes, and accompanying components. * Follow approved recipes, preparation methods, and presentation requirements. * Maintain consistent taste, texture, portioning, and visual quality. * Check ingredients before production and report quality concerns. * Plan daily preparation according to reservations, events, and expected demand. * Coordinate section requirements with the Chef de Cuisine and Sous Chef. * Help guide junior chefs and maintain an orderly production workflow. * Support the creation and testing of new dishes and recipes. * Contribute creative ideas while respecting the restaurant 's culinary identity. * Monitor stock levels and request ingredients before shortages affect production. * Store ingredients and finished products correctly. * Apply stock rotation and expiry-control procedures. * Minimize waste through careful planning and accurate preparation. * Maintain clean workstations, tools, refrigerators, and storage areas. * Follow food-safety, hygiene, and health requirements. * Use pastry equipment safely and report faults promptly. * Support service during busy periods and maintain section readiness. * Communicate clearly with culinary and service colleagues. * Complete kitchen duties according to luxury hospitality standards. Ideal Profile * Diploma in Culinary Arts, Pastry, Baking, or a related discipline is preferred. * At least 2 years of experience in a similar pastry position. * Previous employment within an international luxury hotel is strongly preferred. * Michelin-starred or internationally recognized fine-dining experience is advantageous. * Valid food health and safety certification. * Strong pastry preparation and dessert-presentation capabilities. * Creative approach to flavors, textures, and visual design. * Able to manage an assigned section with consistency and discipline. * Comfortable handling multiple production priorities. * Excellent communication and teamwork skills. * Passionate about culinary quality and continued professional learning. * Able to perform effectively within a diverse and fast-paced kitchen. * Flexible regarding split shifts, weekends, evenings, and public holidays.
