This role is for one of the Weekday's clients Min Experience: 15+ years Location: Mumbai, Maharashtra, India JobType: full-time The Chief Business Officer (CBO) will lead the Omnichannel Business with complete ownership of revenue, profitability, customer experience, and business growth across Direct-to-Consumer (D2C), Retail Stores, Marketplaces, Modern Trade, and Enterprise channels. This role involves acting as the CEO of the business, focusing on commercial strategy, category growth, merchandising, retail excellence, omnichannel integration, and enhancing operational performance. Requirements Responsibilities Business & P&L Leadership Own the end-to-end Profit and Loss (P&L) for the omnichannel business. Drive revenue growth, profitability, market share, and business expansion. Develop and execute long-term business strategy and operating plans. Omnichannel Growth Lead and integrate D2C, Retail, Marketplace, Modern Trade, and B2B channels. Build a seamless customer experience across online and offline touchpoints. Drive channel productivity, commercial performance, and customer retention. Commercial & Category Leadership Lead merchandising, pricing, assortment planning, promotions, and inventory optimization. Identify new categories, formats, and growth opportunities. Leverage customer and business insights to improve profitability and growth. Retail & Operational Excellence Scale the retail network while improving store productivity and profitability. Partner with Supply Chain and Operations teams to improve inventory efficiency and execution. Build scalable processes and operating mechanisms for future growth. Leadership Build and lead high-performing teams across business, retail, category, and commercial functions. Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and execution excellence. Qualifications Education & Experience 15+ years of leadership experience managing large omnichannel consumer businesses. Proven track record of owning P&Ls and scaling retail and digital businesses. Skills Strong experience across category management, merchandising, commercial strategy, retail operations, and omnichannel growth. Experience in consumer brands, retail, lifestyle, home, furniture, fashion, electronics, or high-growth omnichannel businesses. Entrepreneurial, customer-centric, and highly execution-oriented leader. Preferred Skills Experience working with a diverse range of consumer products. Strong analytical skills to interpret data and make informed decisions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with various stakeholders. Good-to-have skills PnL Management
