Description
The Chief of Staff is the strategic execution partner to the India Country Manager, responsible for translating priorities into measurable outcomes. The role drives operating rhythm, cross-functional alignment, strategic initiatives, government affairs coordination, and leadership effectiveness across the India organization.
As a trusted advisor to the Country Manager, the Chief of Staff enables decision-making, orchestrates high-impact initiatives, manages governance and execution mechanisms, and strengthens relationships across government, industry, academia, and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
1. Country Strategy & Executive Support
Focus: Enable the Country Manager to drive enterprise priorities and country-level strategic outcomes.
• Support development and execution of India country priorities and strategic initiatives
• Drive leadership alignment and OSIR review processes
• Provide structured analysis, insights, and recommendations for key decisions
• Develop executive communications, presentations, and briefing materials
• Ensure effective follow-through on leadership actions and commitments
2. PMO & Operational Excellence
Focus: Drive execution discipline, governance, and organizational effectiveness.
• Lead strategic program and portfolio management across country initiatives
• Establish governance mechanisms and operating cadences
• Track progress, dependencies, risks, and action closure
• Drive accountability and execution across cross-functional stakeholders
• Improve processes, reporting, and operational effectiveness
3. Government Affairs & Ecosystem Engagement
Focus: Strengthen NXP India's external influence and strategic partnerships.
• Support Government Affairs strategy and policy advocacy efforts
• Coordinate engagement with government, industry bodies, academia, and research institutions
• Manage ecosystem initiatives involving startups, universities, and innovation programs
• Develop briefing materials and stakeholder engagement plans
• Identify partnership opportunities that support NXP India's growth and reputation
4. Stakeholder Management & Organizational Impact
Focus: Foster alignment, collaboration, and organizational effectiveness.
• Build strong relationships across business groups, functions, and external stakeholders
• Facilitate leadership forums, councils, and executive workshops
• Promote collaboration and alignment across the India organization
• Support culture, accountability, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Serve as a connector between leadership priorities and organizational execution
Qualifications & Experience
Education
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Technology, Business, Public Policy, or a related field.
• MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification preferred.
Experience
• 10+ years of experience in strategy, program management, consulting, business operations, ecosystem development, government affairs, or leadership support roles.
• Experience managing cross-functional initiatives involving executive stakeholders.
• Exposure to technology, semiconductor, innovation ecosystems, startups, academia, or government collaboration programs is highly desirable.
