This role is for one of the Weekday's clients Min Experience: 15+ years Location: Pune JobType: full-time We are seeking an experienced Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead our technology vision and execution while driving innovation across Engineering, Product, and Data. This is a strategic leadership role focused on building scalable, AI-powered platforms that support business growth, operational excellence, and exceptional customer experiences. The ideal candidate is a technology leader with deep expertise in modern software architecture, artificial intelligence, cloud technologies, and distributed systems. You will work closely with executive leadership to translate business strategy into scalable technology solutions, build high-performing teams, and establish a culture of engineering excellence. Requirements Key Responsibilities Technology Strategy & Leadership Define and execute the organization's long-term technology vision aligned with business objectives. Drive technology innovation across Engineering, Product, Data, and AI initiatives. Evaluate emerging technologies and identify opportunities to improve products, platforms, and operational efficiency. Establish technology roadmaps that support rapid business growth and long-term scalability. Engineering Leadership Build, mentor, and lead high-performing engineering organizations across multiple disciplines. Foster a culture of technical excellence, ownership, innovation, and continuous improvement. Define engineering best practices, development processes, architecture standards, and quality benchmarks. Oversee software delivery, platform reliability, security, and performance. Platform Architecture Design and scale large, high-volume transactional platforms capable of supporting enterprise-scale workloads. Lead architecture decisions involving cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, microservices, APIs, and data platforms. Ensure high availability, scalability, security, and resilience across technology systems. Drive modernization initiatives and continuous platform optimization. AI & Data Strategy Lead the adoption of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning technologies across products and business operations. Build AI-driven solutions that enhance automation, analytics, and customer experiences. Collaborate with Product and Data teams to develop intelligent, data-driven platforms. Promote responsible AI practices, governance, and scalable data architecture. Product & Business Collaboration Partner closely with business stakeholders to translate strategic goals into technology initiatives. Support product innovation through scalable technical solutions and customer-centric development. Balance technical priorities with business outcomes, timelines, and resource planning. Provide executive leadership on technology investments, risk management, and innovation. Required Qualifications 15+ years of experience in software engineering and technology leadership. Prior experience as a CTO, VP Engineering, Head of Engineering, Head of Platform, or similar executive technology leadership role. Proven experience building and scaling large transactional platforms. Strong background in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Cloud Computing, and Distributed Systems. Demonstrated success leading large engineering organizations and building high-performing technical teams. Experience translating business strategy into scalable technology solutions. Strong architectural expertise in cloud-native platforms, microservices, APIs, and modern software engineering practices. Excellent leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Preferred Qualifications Experience in B2B, Marketplace, FinTech, Commerce, or Supply Chain
