JR 5757 Child Care Coordinator Long Beach, CA 90810 Salary: $23.24 to $28.28 per hour Pay Frequency: 24 Pay Periods Per Year Full Time Non-Exempt Driving Required Lower end of range will apply to candidates who meet minimum experience or have limited years of relevant experience. The higher end of range will apply to seasoned candidates with considerable years of relevant experience.

PATH is seeking candidates passionate about helping others make a positive change in their lives to join our SHS Team as the Child Care Coordinator at our Family Commons office in Long Beach, California.
ABOUT PATH Since its foundation in 1984, PATH (People Assisting the Homeless) has pioneered bold and effective approaches to assist people experiencing homelessness. PATH operates services throughout California, connecting our clients to a comprehensive continuum of homelessness prevention, street outreach, employment preparation and placement assistance, individualized case management, supportive services, interim housing, and permanent supportive housing.
ABOUT OUR SUPPORTIVE HOUSING SERVICES Our Supportive Housing Services (SHS) programs provide Intensive Case Management Services (ICMS) in a Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) setting to individuals who have experienced homelessness and have a history of chronic health, mental health, and/or co-occurring conditions. Services are centralized and provided to clients living on-site to ensure ease of access to the resources necessary for long-term housing stabilization, improving their quality of life and community integration.
ABOUT THE CHILD CARE COORDINATOR As part of the SHS Team, the Child Care Coordinator supports the Family Commons after-school program. This position is responsible for developing curriculum, providing homework assistance, enriching class instruction, and providing recreation activity supervision to school aged students in a PATH service.
Position Responsibilities include:
In collaboration with the ICMS team, participate in creating a family-centered goal plan addressing short-and long-term goals to be reviewed and completed every 90 days.
Conduct crisis and risk assessments in consultation with supervisor and/or team.
Facilitate and lead activities with groups of up to twenty students.
Assist students with homework, academic enrichment, recreation, and the arts.
Supervise all participants to ensure a safe learning environment and organized program.
Supervise playground activities without engaging in the play.
Maintain accurate daily attendance records.
Assist with the planning of on-site and off-site events.
Chaperone a monthly weekend field trip.
Prepare educational/enrichment lesson plans according to established deadlines.
Develop and implement enrichment and sports clubs
