From specialty cocktails enjoyed while exploring the galleries to full-service dining in beautifully designed spaces, food and drink are integral to the Fotografiska experience Further information can be found here: https://www.fotografiska.com/berlin The Role Support in the development and execution of a high-quality pastry concept for the Bakery, Café, Verōnika Restaurant & Bar, as well as for in-house events Close collaboration with the Head Pastry Chef and Pastry Sous Chef to ensure the overall success of the pastry program Planning and responsibility for the preparation of desserts, pastries, cakes, ice creams and sorbets, doughs, breads, rolls, and chocolates Ensuring smooth kitchen operations during peak service and production hours, including independent setup of the bakery station and preperation of coffee breaks Maintaining consistently high quality and presentation standards for all pastry products Supporting and guiding other team members in following recipes, portion sizes, and preparation standards Monitoring raw materials, ensuring recipe compliance, and minimizing food waste Ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and HACCP-standards Organization, cleaning, and sanitization of the pastry work area Actively contributing to the improvement and development of systems and processes to enhance service, team engagement, and the overall Fotografiska guest experience Requirements Professional experience as a Pastry Chef in concept-driven, service-oriented kitchens Experience in creating innovative and internationally inspired desserts, with consideration for food intolerances, allergies, and special diets Solid foundational knowledge in both classic and modern pastry techniques Strong attention to detail and a high standard of quality A strong sense of responsibility, excellent teamwork and communication skills, and a genuine interest in diverse cultures Structured, self-directed work ethic with the ability to perform under pressure Flexibility in working various shifts within a rotating schedule In-depth knowledge of HACCP standards Enthusiasm for innovation and continuous product and process development Genuine passion for the craft and a strong desire to create memorable culinary experiences Diversity & Representation: Fotografiska is committed to building and supporting diverse and representative communities, long-term career opportunities and extends Equal Employment Opportunities to qualified applicants and employees on an equal basis regardless of an individual's age, race, color, sex, religion, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, pregnancy status, marital status, military or veteran status, genetic disposition or any other reason protected by law.
