• Full-time, continuing opportunity • Located on Camperdown Campus on Gadigal Country • Base Salary from $ 152,045   plus 17% superannuation About the team The Workplace   Compliance   Operation teams work closely with professional and academic colleagues to ensure that the University meets its operational compliance obligations in re lation to casual academics.   The teams drive continuous improvement, embeds consistent best-practice,   processes   and frameworks, while overseeing operational compliance   across all faculties and business areas. Together, the teams   ensure consistent, cohesive standards are   maintained , and that all casual academic staff are paid accurately in line with   University   policies and procedure and legislative requirements. About the opportunity As   Communications   Specialist   you   are   responsible for   leading the strategic design and provision of communications across the University supporting University staff to understand their compliance obligations with the Enterprise Agreement, the University’s HR and industrial relations policies and the overall workplace compliance and operations process. The role has a specific focus on compliance, education, awareness   campaigns   and stakeholder engagement. Your key responsibilities will be to: • I mplement and   maintain   the Workplace Relations and Compliance communications plan • d evelop communications strategies that drive understanding of University’s compliance and   Enterprise Agreement   obligations • d esign, develop - initiatives to uplift the knowledge and capability of   University   staff • s upport the Education   and Training   Advisor in the development and roll out of education and/or training programs • evaluate the effectiveness and quality of the training programs and communications strategies to ensure they are fit for purpose • p rovides effective leadership and management guidance and support to the staff in the broader work area • b uild and   maintain   professional relationships through effective communication and engagement capability. About you • P ostgraduate qualifications in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of relevant training and experience • p roven   communications leadership experience across large, complex   organisations ,   managing mul tiple   concurrent workstreams • e xperience in developing and managing compliance frameworks • d emonstrated experience and understanding of the requirements of working with and supporting a high performing collaborative team • d emonstrated experience in communications including leading community awareness and engagement methodologies • d emonstrated experience in the supervision, training,   mentoring   and performance management of staff; and experience managing and resolving a diverse range of complex HR issues • e xperience delivering education programs, preferably in a tertiary education environment.
