About the American Connection Corps: The American Connection Corps (ACC), an AmeriCorps program of Lead For America (LFA), is a service fellowship program aimed at helping communities build the digital connectivity necessary to expand opportunity and economic mobility, ranging from healthcare access to quality employment. ACC Members spend a year serving with locally-rooted organizations, helping address the digital divide and strengthen access to opportunity. Position Overview The AmeriCorps Member will support staff-led office operations, community outreach, client engagement, and workforce development activities that increase access to services for individuals served by MOLC. Under the guidance, supervision, and direction of program staff, the Member will assist with community outreach, client support, workforce program coordination, and service documentation to help connect community members to available resources and services. The Member will not perform duties that displace employees, independently manage office operations, or perform general administrative functions unrelated to the approved AmeriCorps service activities. Key Responsibilities Support clients by providing program information, connecting them with appropriate staff and services, and assisting with service-related activities under staff supervision. Support staff with planning, implementing, and participating in community outreach events and public engagement activities. Support case managers by assisting with coordinating client visits, collecting information, and helping connect clients to available community resources under staff direction. Assist the Workforce Director with scheduling classes, communicating with participants, supporting attendance tracking, and helping participants remain engaged in workforce and community resource programs under staff direction. Collect and compile service-related data, attendance information, participant feedback, and activity summaries for staff review in accordance with program procedures and AmeriCorps requirements. Answer multiple phone lines within a master console system. Ability to take accurate messages and route all calls to the appropriate staff. Route incoming/outgoing mail and packages. Help prepare conference room and office spaces as needed when guests are expected for meetings. Assist with maintaining an organized, welcoming office environment that supports client services and approved AmeriCorps activities. Participate in required AmeriCorps trainings, supervision meetings, and other approved service activities. Other duties as assigned that are directly related to the approved AmeriCorps position description, program scope, and allowable AmeriCorps service activities. All functions and activities performed by the AmeriCorps Member are completed under the guidance, supervision, and direction of program and host site staff.
