Responsible for creating disruptive brand-building marketing concepts and copy in the unique CB2 voice for all marketing audiences and channels. This is an on-site position (Monday through Thursday) based out of our Chicago, IL office with the flexibility to work remotely on Fridays. A day in the life as a Copywriter... • Create engaging, informative, high-performing copy & content that supports business strategies across channels including email, organic and paid social, catalog, ecommerce, signage. • Compose engaging headlines, scripts, long-form copy and social-first copy. • Demonstrate the ability to think abstractly and produce fresh, persuasive and clear ideas. • Consistently help push creative and bring new opportunities to the brand. • Brainstorm creative campaign ideas with design partners. • Deliver copy that embodies the unique CB2 voice and feels fresh, relevant and reflects our brand positioning. • Remain current on trends and cultural influences that are important to our customers, particularly in the area of home design, décor and entertaining. • Ability to collaborate with partners or work independently to develop content and concepts. • Review metrics monthly to analyze copy effectiveness and apply data to copy strategy to maximize performance. • Strong team-working skills to partner with art directors, designers and marketing team members. What you'll bring to the table.. . • A hybrid creative writer, innovative thinker and smart marketer • A special way with words that is warm, witty and natural • A team player who enjoys collaborating for the greater good • Demonstrated ability to create compelling ideas/content • Portfolio demonstrating smart copywriting and innovative brand ideas, with an emphasis on print, digital, social and video • Demonstrate understanding of writing nuances between channels: Social vs catalog vs digital advertising • Actively engaged in social media • Passion for home design, fashion, trends and culture • A strong sensibility for graphic design • Strong communication skill set • Ability to juggle multiple projects at once and manage multiple deadlines at once • Work independently and collaboratively with team(s) We'd love to hear from you if you have... • 5-7+ years professional creative writing experience in advertising, retail, catalog, eComm or related fields • Agency experience preferred • Experience with home, fashion or lifestyle brand or publication (print and/or digital) preferred • BA in Journalism or English, preferred • Familiar with InDesign • Fluent in AP style Euromarket Designs, Inc., which does business as Crate and Barrel and CB2, will be referred to as “the Company”.
