In Thailand, NEX is strengthening the country's clean energy innovation ecosystem by supporting climate technology startups, building workforce capacity, fostering strategic partnerships, and developing programs that accelerate the country's transition to a low-carbon economy. The Role New Energy Nexus is seeking an entrepreneurial and visionary leader to build Thailand into one of Asia's leading clean energy innovation ecosystems while strengthening it as a flagship chapter within the global NEX network. The Country Director will lead the vision, strategy, growth, financial sustainability, organizational development, ecosystem influence, and regional collaboration of New Energy Nexus Thailand. Working closely with government, industry, investors, entrepreneurs, development partners, and the global NEX network, the Country Director will build a high-performing organization that serves as a trusted partner for Thailand's clean energy transition. This role combines strategy, fundraising, organizational leadership, partnership development, and ecosystem building to position NEX Thailand as one of the country's leading organizations supporting clean energy entrepreneurship and innovation. NEX Thailand currently operates with a lean team, and a major priority for the Country Director will be to build the team for the next phase of growth. The successful candidate will be equally comfortable building on what exists and imagining what comes next —preserving NEX Thailand's credibility and entrepreneurial spirit while bringing the strategic ambition, organizational discipline, and leadership needed for its next phase. Core Accountabilities & Key Responsibilities Lead Vision, Strategy & Organizational Growth Develop and execute a focused multi-year strategy that strengthens NEX Thailand's Theory of Change and leadership in clean energy innovation. Identify emerging market opportunities, technologies, and ecosystem gaps where NEX can create meaningful impact. Identify where NEX can create the distinctive value and the greatest impact, making deliberate choices about where the chapter should - and should not - focus. Translate strategic objectives into clear annual priorities, workplans, organizational priorities, and program and partnership platforms. Fundraising & Partnerships Develop and maintain a diversified pipeline of government, corporate, foundation, multilateral, and philanthropic funding opportunities. Identify and build strategic partnerships that support organizational growth and long-term impact. Lead proposal development, funder engagement, and partnership negotiations and relationship-building. Communicate NEX Thailand's results, insights, and learning credibly to funders, partners, the global NEX network, and the broader ecosystem. P&L ownership: oversee annual budgeting, financial planning, and organizational performance. Program Implementation & Team Development Build a high-performing collaborative team and ensure NEX Thailand delivers impactful programs that accelerates entrepreneur success Assess existing capabilities and develop a clear plan for building the team needed to deliver the chapter's strategy. Develop team members as credible external representatives and future leaders of the chapter. Foster an inclusive culture rooted in learning, ambition, accountability, and care. Oversee NEX Thailand's portfolio of startup acceleration, commercialization, workforce development, and ecosystem programs.
