Job Description NOW Courier is seeking a friendly, customer focused Independent Contractor to service a dedicated delivery route within our established Fort Wayne, IN operation. Your Mission • Deliver with Clockwork Precision: Ensure that cargo is picked up and delivered to our valued customers on time, maintaining NOW Courier's reputation for reliability and punctuality. • Route Mastery: Utilize GPS or mapping software to plan and follow efficient routes, ensuring timely deliveries and optimal fuel usage. • Exceptional Customer Service: Greet customers with professionalism and warmth, handling questions or issues with empathy. • Problem Solving Skills: Think quickly and adapt when faced with challenges such as traffic delays or address changes to ensure smooth and efficient deliveries. Route Details & Schedule (Fort Wayne Area) • Compensation: $160 per day (Average weekly commission: $480 ). • Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. • Start/End Time: 10:30 AM to 3:00 PM (Headquarters). • Required Vehicle: SUV or larger. • Weekly Mileage: Approximately 120 miles per route. • Daily Stops: Approximately 10. • Geographical Area: Fort Wayne, Warsaw, Goshen, Elkhart, South Bend, Mishawaka, and Granger. • Sorting: Minimal. Requirements Vehicle Requirements: • Candidates must possess an SUV or larger vehicle . • The vehicle must be 2016 model year or newer . This ensures the vehicle meets modern safety and reliability standards and provides adequate space for cargo. To maintain our industry leading fleet of professional drivers, you must meet the following: • Age: Be at least 21 years of age. • Vehicle: Own a vehicle that can pass a multi point inspection and is suitable for delivery. • Smartphone: Possess a smartphone capable of running our driver app. • Licensing & Insurance: Hold a valid driver's license and commercial insurance coverage with a minimum of $300,000 combined single limit liability. • Pre Employment Screening: You must successfully pass a comprehensive pre employment process before beginning work, which includes: • Driving History Review (past 36 months) • Criminal Background Check • Substance Abuse (Drug) Screening.
