Description
The Director of Product Marketing is a key strategic leader who bridges the gap between a great idea and a successful market launch. In this role, you don’t just manage a roadmap; you help build it. You will partner with Product Development at the earliest stages of ideation to ensure our innovations meet real consumer needs and are built to win across all channels; from our digital storefront to our major retail partners.
As the strategic "quarterback" for product innovation, you will own the process that brings new ideas to life, ensuring every launch is on-time, on-brand, and commercially successful. You will serve as a vital link between the Marketing and Wholesale teams, ensuring our product stories are as compelling on a retail shelf as they are online. Partnering closely with the SVP of Integrated Marketing, you will be the driving force behind the strategies that keep Madison Reed at the forefront of the omnichannel beauty space.
This role reports to the Chief Marketing Officer, is full time and remote. While remote, this role may travel less than 15% of the time.
The base salary range for this position is between $150k and $155k plus stock (options) in Madison Reed. At Madison Reed, we aim to pay competitively. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
Responsibilities:
Product Commercialization & Go-to-Market Leadership
Partner with Product Development (PD) to co-lead the discovery phase; leverage consumer insights and market whitespace to pitch, prioritize, and price new concepts that drive omnichannel growth.
Own the end-to-end commercialization lifecycle and the cross-functional Stage-Gate process—driving alignment across Finance, Supply Chain, Channel Teams and Marketing to ensure launches are scalable, on-time, and impactful.
Serve as the primary strategic bridge between Wholesale, E-commerce, HCB and Marketing; translate brand stories into winning omni strategies while ensuring channel-specific needs are integrated into the broader innovation roadmap.
Analyze market signals and product metrics to measure ROI and inform future roadmaps, ensuring every launch strengthens Madison Reed’s premium market position.
Strategic Partner to the SVP of Integrated Marketing
Act as a core advisor to the SVP of Integrated Marketing to architect annual plans and portfolio strategies that align product innovation with brand growth.
Lead the integration of product narratives across brand campaigns and seasonal initiatives, ensuring a cohesive and premium consumer experience at every touchpoint.
Drive organizational clarity on product priorities and sequencing; develop high-stakes storytelling and business cases to secure executive alignment and resource allocation.
Transform high-level marketing goals into actionable product roadmaps, bridging the gap between creative vision and commercial execution.
Wholesale Marketing Leadership (Non-Digital Media)
Collaborate with the Wholesale leadership team to prepare for high-stakes retail partner meetings, ensuring marketing strategies support long-term brand equity and joint business goals excluding paid digital media.
Develop compelling in-store, on-shelf, and educational materials that drive awareness, trial, and conversion
Partner closely with Sales, Education, and Retail Operations to support sell-in, sell-through, and long-term brand equity
Develop high-impact retail toolkits that directly drive measurable sell-through and brand equity across all professional channels
