As District Manager, Pro Hockey Life, you will lead store performance across your district by driving sales, profitability, operational excellence, and a best-in-class customer experience. You will be the connecting point between banner strategy and store execution, providing strong leadership, coaching, and support to store leaders while building a culture of accountability, engagement, and consistent execution. What You’ll Do Drive Financial Performance • Lead district sales and profitability performance through effective planning, coaching, and execution. • Monitor store P&L results, wage management, labour optimization, and key financial metrics to identify opportunities and action plans. • Partner with store leadership teams to establish clear targets, track performance, and drive consistent progress against business objectives. Champion the Customer Experience • Ensure strong execution of operating standards and customer experience programs across all stores in the district. • Protect and elevate the Pro Hockey Life brand by maintaining high standards for store presentation, service, pricing, promotions, and merchandising. • Use customer experience insights, store visits, and performance data to coach teams and improve the end-to-end customer journey. Lead Operations and Compliance • Oversee consistent execution of in-store marketing, communication, store audits, operational best practices, and company initiatives. • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, standard operating procedures, loss prevention, store standards, and all applicable company policies. • Identify operational risks, remove barriers, and engage cross-functional partners when needed to support store performance and execution. Build Team, Talent and Culture • Act as the face of the banner for store leadership teams, providing visible, consistent, and inspiring leadership across the district. • Coach, support, and develop Store General Managers and management teams to strengthen capability, accountability, and engagement. • Partner with recruitment and HR teams to support hiring, talent acquisition, performance management, succession planning, and leadership development. • Create a positive culture rooted in teamwork, passion for hockey, strong execution, and pride in delivering exceptional customer experiences. What You Bring • Progressive retail leadership experience with a proven ability to lead multi-store performance. • Strong business acumen, financial discipline, and experience using data to diagnose opportunities and drive results. • Exceptional communication, coaching, influencing, and relationship-building skills. • A track record of developing management talent and building engaged, high-performing teams. • Strong understanding of retail operations, store standards, compliance, merchandising execution, and customer experience. • Comfort leading through change, setting priorities, and supporting teams in a fast-paced retail environment. • A genuine passion for hockey, sport, active living, and building meaningful connections with customers and communities. Salary decisions are also dependent on other factors such as your experience, store size and market location, industry benchmarks, internal equity and other role-specific requirements.
