Overview
We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Product Manager to build and scale our Wealth Lending business within Private Banking. This is a newly established regional role focused on unlocking lending opportunities across our wealth platform and delivering differentiated financing solutions for high-net-worth clients.
Sitting at the intersection of product strategy, risk management, and client advisory, this role partners closely with Relationship Managers, Investment Advisors, and cross-functional teams across Credit, Risk, Finance, and Wealth Platforms. The successful candidate will play a critical role in shaping the product vision, driving execution, and ensuring sustainable growth of a competitive and scalable wealth lending franchise.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Development
• Own the end-to-end product management of wealth lending solutions, including Lombard lending, securities-backed financing, and bespoke structured credit offerings.
• Define and execute product strategy, value proposition, and multi-year roadmap aligned with client needs, market dynamics, and business priorities.
• Identify new lending opportunities and innovate client-centric solutions to expand wallet share and enhance client engagement.
Client & Front Office Partnership
• Partner closely with Relationship Managers and Investment Advisors to structure tailored lending solutions for private wealth clients.
• Drive product awareness, adoption, and commercialization across markets through effective engagement with front-office teams.
• Act as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor on wealth lending solutions.
Risk, Governance & Controls
• Collaborate with Credit, Risk, Legal, and Compliance functions to design robust credit frameworks, policies, and governance standards.
• Ensure all products adhere to regulatory requirements and internal risk appetite, while balancing growth and prudence.
• Contribute to ongoing refinement of credit policies and lending frameworks.
Product Lifecycle Management
• Manage the full product lifecycle from design and launch to optimization, repricing, and sunset decisions.
• Monitor portfolio performance, profitability, and risk metrics, and implement enhancements where required.
• Drive continuous improvement of processes, documentation, and client experience.
• Drive Tech platform improvements by collaborating with Tech team on ideation, build, UAT, rollout
Market & Portfolio Management
• Track market trends, competitor offerings, and emerging practices in wealth lending to maintain competitive positioning.
• Support portfolio analytics, pricing strategy, and balance sheet optimization initiatives.
• Lead regional initiatives to harmonize product offerings and drive consistency across markets.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
• 8–12+ years of relevant experience in wealth lending, credit structuring, or product management within private banking, wealth management, or financial institutions.
• Strong expertise in lending products, including securities-backed financing, collateral structures, and credit risk frameworks.
• Proven track record of working effectively across front office, risk, credit, and operations within a matrixed, cross-functional environment.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify opportunities, balance risk-reward outcomes, and drive business growth.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
