Description
ALTEN Technology USA is an engineering firm partnering with leading companies in aerospace, medical devices, robotics, and automotive sectors. This role focuses on embedded software development for automotive infotainment systems, specifically integrating safety monitoring subsystems and bringing up multimedia capabilities (audio and camera) on an AMD infotainment development kit platform as part of the Ok2Book proof of concept.
What You'll Do
• Integrate and validate safety monitor subsystems on AMD infotainment dev kit platform, including watchdog, error detection, and failure-to-transmit-interval mechanisms
• Lead camera subsystem bring-up: MIPI CSI-2 integration, ISP configuration, V4L2 driver stack, camera HAL development, and frame capture validation
• Lead audio subsystem bring-up: codec integration, ALSA configuration, audio HAL development, and latency measurement
• Interface with AMD on safety and multimedia driver support requirements
• Validate ISO 26262-aware safety mechanisms and validate compliance against Ok2Book acceptance criteria
• Document multimedia and safety bring-up progress for program gate reviews
What You Need
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 7+ years of professional experience in embedded software development
• Hands-on camera bring-up experience: MIPI CSI-2, V4L2 driver stack, ISP integration, camera HAL
• Hands-on audio bring-up experience: ALSA, audio HAL, codec integration (I2S, SoundWire, HDMI ARC)
• Safety subsystem integration experience: watchdog, health monitors, ASIL-aware software development
• Linux kernel and multimedia framework knowledge (GStreamer, camera2 API)
• Proficiency in C/C++, Python, and/or Rust
Nice to Have
• ISO 26262 ASIL-B or higher safety-critical software development experience
• Android camera or audio HAL experience (AAOS/AOSP)
• AMD multimedia driver stack familiarity
• Multi-camera pipeline or surround-view system experience
