About the Role Client Contribution & Handling Draft press releases, Q&As, key messages, and other strategic communications materials in both Japanese and English Show an ongoing interest in and grasp of media, policy and market intelligence in China, and share insights appropriately with clients and teams Leverage in‑house AI tools and other resources to manage workload and ensure deliverables are on track, on time, and of the highest quality Contribute to brainstorms and pitch preparation Think on a strategic and tactical level about client issues and account development Deliver ideas, direction and content to the account team Produce high‑quality client deliverables that showcase the expertise, judgment and research behind our recommendations Develop strong working relationships with internal and external clients and earn their trust Contribution to the Firm Establish and maintain strong client and internal relationships, ensuring high‑quality deliverables and responsiveness across multiple time‑sensitive engagements Draw insights and opportunities from your personal and professional networks in Japan and globally, and leverage that knowledge on behalf of the Firm and our clients Participate in and contribute to training sessions when appropriate, and take advantage of learning and engagement opportunities Teamwork and Collaborative Approach Act as the “eyes and ears” of the team in the local market Share ideas, knowledge and recommendations with the wider team Earn the respect of peers and colleagues, and treat people with respect Communication Skills – Engagement with Media and Other Audiences Prepare detailed reporter backgrounders and curate media lists tailored to the Japanese media landscape Identify and assess media, visibility and stakeholder engagement opportunities that can elevate our clients’ profiles What We're Looking For At Brunswick, we seek smart and curious individuals dedicated to learning and growth. We value potential, strong work ethic, sound judgement and excellent written and verbal communication skills.   Standout Executive candidates will demonstrate: 1–3 years of relevant work experience; corporate communications, public affairs or agency experience a strong plus Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Japanese and English Keen interest in Japanese policy, business, capital markets, and other issues impacting multinational and Japanese companies Strong problem‑solving skills and a client‑service mindset Entrepreneurial and collaborative spirit Ability to multitask and prioritize in a high‑performance environment Ability to think strategically and creatively High discretion with confidential client matters International work or academic experience a plus Knowledge of local and global research resources (e.g., Wind, Factiva, Bloomberg) a plus Our Benefits We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including: Annual Discretionary Bonus:  Based on company and individual performance.
