Description
Department : Short-term Staff Network Program Locations : Europe, Asia (China, Hong Kong, Singapore Thailand) Program Assignment: Seasonal Application Deadline : Open (Rolling Applications) OUR VISION FOR THIS ROLE: At JUMP!, we see facilitators not as event staff — but as co-designers of transformational learning journeys. The vision for the J!Schools Facilitator role is to serve as a pedagogical partner, systems thinker, and intentional guide throughout the entire lifecycle of our school-based programs. This role goes far beyond on-site delivery. We’re seeking experienced practitioners who are equally committed to the invisible scaffolding behind the scenes — from design and preparation to reflection, reporting, and refinement. A J!Schools Facilitator brings: • A learner-first mindset • Deep experience in experiential, participant-centered design • The ability to adapt in real-time to meet emerging group needs • A commitment to building psychological safety and belonging You’ll be expected to contribute to — and improve — how we design, deliver, and deepen learning across a range of student development experiences. This includes making observations, tracking impact, and collaborating with students, educators, and families as co-creators in the process. You’ll be part of a team that values responsiveness over rigidity, curiosity over control, and growth over perfection. If you see facilitation as a craft — and schools as living systems — you’ll feel at home here. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Program Design & Preparation • Engage in remote planning calls and asynchronous prep work • Review session plans and learning arcs with an eye for intentionality, age appropriateness, and group flow • Offer input to strengthen program design, sequence, and methodology based on learner profiles and context On-Site Delivery & Adaptive Facilitation • Lead sessions with clarity, energy, and emotional intelligence • Observe and adapt in real time to student needs, group dynamics, and environmental cues • Bring sessions to life using experiential methods, storytelling, play, and purposeful reflection • Model inclusive leadership, curiosity, and care across all interactions Learning Environment & Stakeholder Engagement • Build rapport with students across age groups and backgrounds • Engage meaningfully with educators and other school stakeholders to align on objectives and ensure continuity • Contribute to cultivating a safe, welcoming, and empowering learning space for all participants Program Reflection & Knowledge Capture • Contribute to daily staff debriefs and post-program evaluation • Document student shifts, group patterns, and key moments of learning • Share insights and feedback to inform future program iterations and internal knowledge sharing Coaching & Ongoing Learning Support • Where applicable, offer continuity coaching or mentorship to student leaders post-program • Provide reflective feedback to peers, and participate in facilitator development opportunities through JUMP! Academy Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in facilitation or experiential education, with demonstrated mastery in designing and delivering scaffolded, participant-centered learning experiences • Strong understanding of experiential pedagogies and group development theories; able to design, sequence, and adapt learning arcs with intention and fluency • Skilled at reading group dynamics and individual needs in real time, with the ability to flex and adjust content, flow, or approach accordingly • Confident in engaging diverse youth audiences (ages 8–18) as well as adult stakeholders (educators, parents, school leaders) • Highly observant and reflective, with the ability to document learning moments, surface insights, and articulate program impact clearly and succinctly • Committed to inclusive, youth-empowering facilitation practices and an ongoing journey of personal and professional growth • Bonus: Experience with whole-school programming, co-design processes, or working across different cultural or international school contexts — How to Apply: Please submit and upload the following information via the relevant link on JUMPs Recruitment Portal: Recruitment Portal 1) CV / Resume 2) Cover Letter/Letter of Motivation 3) A 5-minute video or audio recording of your response to each of the following five prompts: • Please provide a brief introduction that includes your name, where you're currently residing in the world, and the role you're applying for. • What made you get into the field of facilitation and what interests you the most about this type of learning? • How do your previous work experiences and studies fit into working with JUMP as a facilitator? 4) Provide 3 professional references (Phone Number and Email Address) — WHY THE JUMP!
