Looking for Philippines-based candidates Job Role: Fashion Designer & Product Developer  Compensation range: $1,200 AUD - $1,800 AUD / Monthly Engagement type: Independent Contractor Agreement Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time. Their collaborative, fast-paced environment is driven by innovation, precision, and a commitment to delivering exceptional products that meet evolving market demands.  Role Overview: We're looking for a Fashion Designer & Product Development Support Assistant to join a growing product team and provide hands-on support across both design and garment development. This is a mid-level support role designed to assist experienced designers rather than operate as a standalone designer. You'll help manage the team's workload by preparing design assets, updating technical documentation, and supporting product development from concept through to production. The position is entirely internal-facing, with no customer interaction or video call responsibilities. Success in this role comes from being organised, adaptable, and comfortable switching between creative, technical, and administrative tasks as business needs evolve. Requirements Design Support Prepare CAD boards based on design briefs. Apply colourways, trims, graphics, and design features to garment concepts. Update and revise designs based on internal feedback. Create presentation-ready design layouts using Adobe Illustrator. Organise and maintain design files and artwork libraries. Product Development Support Prepare and update technical packs using existing templates. Assist with garment specifications, construction details, and points of measure. Ensure product documentation is accurate and up to date. Support product revisions throughout the sampling and production process. Cross-Functional Support Assist both the Design and Garment Technical teams as required. Provide coverage during planned leave or unexpected absences within the product team. Support multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and deadlines. Business Support Projects During quieter periods, you'll also contribute to projects such as: Factory and supplier research. Organising and cataloguing design assets. Improving internal documentation and file management. Supporting other product-related initiatives across the business. What We're Looking For Required Skills & Experience Previous experience in a Fashion Design, Garment Design, or Product Development Support role. Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Experience creating or updating CAD drawings. Understanding of garment technical packs and product documentation. Ability to accurately interpret design briefs and implement revisions. Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Self-motivated with the initiative to identify opportunities to contribute beyond assigned tasks.
