The Role We're looking for a Fiber Splicing Manager to oversee fiber splicing operations across projects — leading splicing teams, managing subcontractors, and providing the technical expertise to keep work on safe, accurate, and on schedule. What You'll Do - Maintain expert-level knowledge of all Fiber Splicer duties and responsibilities - Lead and manage splicing teams: hiring, training, and performance evaluations - Oversee subcontractors to ensure projects are completed safely and to standard - Provide daily updates to Project Managers on progress and forecasts - Track productivity, labor, and material usage while maintaining project budgets - Provide technical guidance on complex fiber issues; perform hands-on splicing during critical outages - Review and QC OTDR and power meter test results - Maintain accurate daily updates in Fieldwire (QC, photos, splicing records) - Provide customer documentation including as-builts and fiber matrices - Lead job safety efforts and enforce OSHA / company safety protocols Working Conditions Outdoor, physical role with travel across markets (10–50%). After-hours and emergency repair work as needed.
