Overall purpose and responsibilities of the role: The Finance Director will lead financial operations while helping unify financial systems, reporting, controls, and processes across entities, regions, and business units. This hands-on strategic leadership role is ideal for someone who can support rapid growth, strengthen financial discipline, and translate complex operational activity into clear, actionable financial insight. Duties and Responsibilities: Finance Leadership & Reporting Serve as the primary U.S. finance lead within a multi-entity international structure. Lead financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting. Develop and manage annual budgets and long-term financial models to support rapid growth. Provide the executive team and stakeholders with clear, actionable financial insights. Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Manage relationships with external partners, including auditors, banks, tax advisors, and international accounting firms. Ensure compliance with U.S. and international financial regulations. Implement and optimize scalable financial systems, tools, and processes. Support ongoing post-merger planning, including unified controls, workflows, audits, and governance. Provide financial oversight across approximately nine legal entities, with the potential addition of one to two additional entities as the company expands. Strategic Planning & Business Partnership Serve as a key member of the leadership team, contributing to overall business strategy. Balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution in a fast-paced environment. Help prepare the company for its next stage of growth, including potential expansion, acquisitions, or investment opportunities. Champion a positive, fun, and high-performance company culture. Identify opportunities for cost savings across the company. Systems, Controls & Process Improvement Manage project-based financial activity, including job costing, project profitability, margin analysis, and revenue recognition. Build dashboards or executive reporting packages that clearly show cash flow, backlog, profitability, utilization, and operating performance. Integrate finance systems, chart of accounts, controls, and reporting practices following an acquisition or merger. Working knowledge of multi-entity accounting, intercompany transactions, international coordination, and consolidated reporting. Partner with operations leaders to translate field activity, project schedules, labor utilization, and service delivery data into financial insight. Lead the combining of accounting functions across acquired companies. Work with the current business systems environment, including Zoho, QuickBooks Online (QBO), and Salesforce. Support the planned consolidation of the company's CRM and related finance data alignment. Lead or support alignment of the chart of accounts as part of ongoing company-wide integration and transformation initiatives. Success in This Role Looks Like Timely,
