With over $350 million recovered for clients and accolades from leading attorney rating services, our firm has established a legacy of excellence. As a niche law firm with a nationwide practice focused  exclusively in investor claims and mass/class actions, Meyer Wilson Werning operates with a deep commitment to protecting the rights of investors and consumers. Our highly skilled attorneys, known for their trial readiness and professionalism, have a proven track record of holding wrongdoers accountable through impactful recoveries and verdicts. Our focus on securities fraud and consumer rights has led to significant victories, including a $262 million class action verdict. The Fractional CFO role at Meyer Wilson Werning exists to provide the strategic financial leadership the firm currently does not have in-house. This is not a full-time CFO role, and it is not a bookkeeping or day-to-day accounting position. The firm already has a trusted Office Administrator/Bookkeeper who manages day-to-day financial operations, along with an external CPA firm that handles tax preparation. The need is for a sophisticated financial professional who can help firm leadership interpret clean, reliable financial data, improve budgeting and forecasting, create digestible reporting, analyze profitability, identify operational inefficiencies, and support proactive financial decision-making. Because Meyer Wilson Werning operates on a plaintiff-side contingency-fee model, the right candidate must understand the challenge of variable revenue, no recurring revenue, no traditional accounts receivable, long case timelines, and cash flow planning around major case wins or losses.   What you’ll do: Strategic Financial Leadership: Provide high-level financial strategy and advisory support to help the firm make proactive business decisions. Budgeting & Forecasting: Build budgeting and forecasting processes that reflect the realities of a contingency-fee law firm with variable monthly revenue. Cash Flow Planning: Help firm leadership understand monthly operating needs, payroll stability, cash flow timing, and the impact of case wins or losses. Financial Reporting: Translate existing financial data into clear, digestible, executive-level reports that the firm owner and Office Administrator/Bookkeeper can use for decision-making. Profitability Analysis: Analyze operating expenses, profit margins, spending patterns, and opportunities to improve efficiency. Scenario Planning: Help leadership plan around revenue variability, major case outcomes, tax considerations, and future financial needs. Tax Strategy Coordination: Work with the external CPA firm to identify tax planning opportunities and support more strategic tax-related decision-making. Dashboard & KPI Development: Create dashboards, KPIs, or reporting frameworks that give leadership better visibility into firm performance. Technology & Proce
