Remote, Philippines (Metro Manila). Contract, full-time (part-time considered for exceptional candidates); initial 6-month engagement with potential to become permanent.About the RoleA senior designer and brand strategist is needed for six months to sharpen everything the organization puts in front of the world. The role spans two fronts: evolving the brand system and how it is applied across 14 countries, and designing the content and materials the team needs — landing pages, reports, decks, and campaign assets. You will switch fluidly between strategic and hands-on creative roles. There is potential for this role to become permanent pending funding.You will partner closely with the Marketing Manager (who oversees the ecosystem of websites and needs a design counterpart for UX and page design) and the Content & Engagement Lead (who manages global channels). A reliable internet connection and flexibility to collaborate across multiple time zones are required. Applicants must have the legal right to work in the country where they are based; no visa sponsorship or relocation assistance is available.Core ResponsibilitiesBrandAudit and sharpen the brand system: guidelines, templates, and brand kits across Canva and Drive, and how the brand shows up across global and chapter channelsAdvise the CCO on brand strategy and visual identity decisionsSupport chapter teams in applying the brand wellWebsite UX and DesignPartner with the Marketing Manager on UX for global and chapter websites: user journeys, landing pages, and page layoutsBuild and design pages using an existing page builder/block editor in WordPress, using Figma (or similar) to designImprove conversion on key pages: program applications, event registrations, and contact pointsCampaign Design and Creative SystemsArt-direct the creative for flagship campaigns, working closely with the Content Lead, Marketing Manager, and local chapters, from concept to rolloutBuild scalable design systems the global team runs on — campaign toolkits, templates, and asset librariesAct as facilitator and mentor to chapter comms leads: coach them on brand and design craft, guide their work, or implement directly depending on each chapter's needsSet the creative bar for outsourced work: brief and quality-control design and video vendorsDesign & Content ProductionSupport and/or lead storytelling projects with strong visual elements, including videos, photo stories, illustrations, and data visualizationsDesign ad hoc materials: reports, slide decks, one-pagers, social assets, and campaign visualsBuild reusable templates so the team continues producing well-designed materials after the contract endsRequirementsRequired Skills6+ years in brand and digital design, with a portfolio showing brand systems and web/UX workStrategic branding experience: demonstrated ability to build or evolve brand systems and articulate the thinking behind themStrong UX and web design skills; fluent in Figma; comfortable in WordPressClimate or clean energy experience, and experience working globally or regionally across cultures and time zonesFluent English; self-managing in an async, distributed team environmentDaily, critical use of AI tools for drafts, research, and analysis — with clear judgment about their limitationsProactive learner who picks up new tools, formats, and platforms independentlyBonus SkillsFront-end skills (HTML, CSS, some JavaScript) for refinements beyond standard WordPress blocksMotion design and video editingExperience with nonprofit, philanthropy, or climate-sector clientsExperience designing for entrepreneur or startup audiences
