The job doesn't stop at the signature — you're expected to build relationships with the program leads and thought leaders inside a payer (maternal health, maternity investment) who can turn a contract into a broader partnership, like preferred DME provider status driving adoption of Babylist's registry and courses. Who You Are You have 8+ years of experience in healthcare and insurance industries within a business development, partnerships, or payer contracting role. Ideally in a startup environment You have a deep understanding of the insurance payer landscape, what motivates payers to form partnerships (and how this varies across payers), and how to build a compelling payer value proposition You've built and maintained relationships at the highest levels with large national payers, including Aetna and UnitedHealthcare, with the ability to move beyond transactional contracting into partnerships that span the full patient experience You have an understanding of or direct experience with insurance access strategies in health care services.
