Role Summary
Are you a data-driven leader who takes pride in turning complex marketing signals into clear narratives that drive smarter decisions and power the teams around you? AdvancedMD is entering a defining chapter. We are building marketing into a true growth engine for both our established sales-led platform and a new product-led offering launching this year. The Head of Lifecycle Marketing will define an entire function and see it move the business quickly. Today, we invest to generate demand, but leads that aren't ready to buy are handed to sales and, if they don't convert right away, set aside, real pipeline sitting on the table that no one owns capturing yet. This role owns it. The wins here are unusually visible and near-term, because you're not fighting an existing program for incremental gains; you're creating the motion and the lift shows up quickly.
As the Head of Lifecycle Marketing you will design how all of it works, not inherit someone else's playbook, the layer that meets each prospect and customer with the right content at the right moment, and brings in a person only when it truly counts. Lifecycle is the sharpest expression of our mandate to bring product-led efficiency into a sales-led company, and it spans both of our growth motions. If you enjoy building the lifecycle foundation that makes marketing strategies succeed, aligning cross-functional teams around trusted processes, and staying ahead of the rapidly evolving business needs, we'd love to meet you.
Essential Job Duties:
Lifecycle & Nurture Programs (Primary Focus)
Turn paid demand into pipeline by building the nurture programs we don't have yet, so leads that aren't sales-ready become opportunities instead of dead ends — this matters most in enterprise, where considered, multi-threaded deals make a strong nurture motion worth the most
Own the entire customer journey: design automated, signal-driven programs across onboarding, implementation, adoption, and retention, leading with self-serve content, help resources, videos, and vertical- or job-to-be-done-specific material, and escalating to a human only when it moves the needle
Modernize how a sales-led company grows by replacing slow, manual plays with programs that do the work automatically and earlier, so expensive human touch is spent where it matters — this is the heart of the role and one of the company's stated priorities
Cross-Motion Strategy
Work across both growth engines, serving the core sales-led business and our newer product-led offering, tailoring programs to each on shared infrastructure
Bring fluency in lifecycle deep enough to lead the expansion of the product-led motion when we resource it down the road
Customer Success Partnership
Design the marketing-to-success handoff — the automated layer that passes the baton to human success at exactly the right moment — defining that boundary and building a tight partnership with our Customer Success org, high-visibility work across two leadership teams
Team Leadership
Build your team and your operating model: start hands-on, then hire and lead a small team (initial target ~3) as the function proves out
Set the playbook — segmentation, content mapping, measurement, cadence — that lets lifecycle scale without scaling headcount one-for-one
