Description Main Purposes HSE Coordinator / Advisor works to ensure that company employees can complete their work safely. The HSE Coordinator / Advisor sets safety standards for the workplace based on legal and procedural requirements and train employees to help them understand these rules. HSE Coordinator / Advisor also monitor working conditions and resolve any safety issues that may arise at the construction site. Essential Functions • Conduct safety observation reports on a regular basis within the facility and occasionally at offsite and offshore work sites. • Attend safety assessments and inspections before or during each project to analyze safety risks. • Educate employees on safety standards and expectations as well as safe machinery operation. • Provide recommendations for improving safety in the workplace. • Investigate incidents that occur onsite and identify possible causes and corrective actions. • Participate in the creation of report detailing the results of incident findings. • Instruct and test ISO's and dimensional training Requirements Minimum Requirements : • 5 plus years within the HSE profession along with related fabrication and oil and gas experience. • Experience with PowerPoint, Excel, and auditor safety software. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking and presentations. • Understanding of federal and state regulations, including OSHA and BSEE • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities at the same time while meeting deadlines • Interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish effective professional relationships with employees and project managers • Leadership skills, such as the ability to motivate a team and provide feedback Desirable Experience/Training • Technical degree in health and safety or a related field may be preferred, or equivalent experience in Safety Management • Bi-lingual a plus (English & Spanish) Physical Requirements Standing - Is an essential job function/physical requirement. Balancing, fingering, feeling, talking hearing, and seeing - These are all considered normal physical duties/requirements and would be needed/required to work in this industrial environment is a safe and efficient manner. Job Requirements • Must be able to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen. • Must be able to pass background check to company policy.
