We are looking for an Infrastructure Engineering Manager to lead a team responsible for building, operating, and evolving the infrastructure platform that powers a SaaS product at scale. This role is for a hands-on frontline manager who brings strong technical depth, solid people leadership, and a clear focus on reliability, automation, and customer experience.
You will lead engineers who own cloud infrastructure, platform automation, infrastructure as code, operational readiness, and service reliability. You should be comfortable setting direction, managing execution, improving engineering practices, and staying close enough to the technical details to make sound decisions and remove blockers.
This role is a strong fit for someone with management experience, a customer-first mindset, and a track record of leading infrastructure teams in modern cloud-native environments.
Responsibilities
Lead, coach, and develop a team of infrastructure engineers in a fast-paced SaaS environment
Manage day-to-day execution, delivery, prioritization, and operational excellence for infrastructure and platform work
Own team roadmap planning and align infrastructure investments with engineering and business priorities
Partner with product, engineering, security, support, and operations teams to improve platform reliability, scalability, and customer experience
Drive adoption of infrastructure as code, GitOps, and automation-first engineering practices
Improve system availability, resilience, observability, and incident response processes
Help define and maintain on-call expectations, operational readiness standards, and service ownership practices
Support continuous improvement across change management, release processes, incident reviews, and root cause analysis
Stay close to architecture and implementation details, providing technical guidance and direction when needed
Hire and retain strong engineering talent while building a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning
Required Qualifications
3+ years of people management experience leading technical teams
Strong technical background in infrastructure engineering, platform engineering, site reliability, or related disciplines
Experience operating production workloads in AWS and Datacenters
Practical experience with GitOps workflows and tools
Strong hands-on experience with automation and infrastructure as code practices
Experience building and improving automation for infrastructure provisioning, deployment, operations, and support
Experience creating and managing engineering roadmaps, balancing strategic work with operational priorities
Understanding of customer experience in a SaaS product environment and how infrastructure decisions impact availability, performance, and trust
Experience supporting or leading on-call rotations and production incident management
Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work across engineering and business stakeholders
