DRW is a diversified trading firm with over 30 years of experience operating across global financial markets. This role is a Senior Modem/DSP Engineer contributing to the next generation of wireless modem products within the performance platform team, participating in the full design and testing process of digital wireless systems. What You'll Do • Participate in the design of microwave digital modems • Conduct laboratory testing on digital and RF systems • Develop and maintain automated tests • Write documentation including test reports, user guides, and release notes • Participate in integration, validation, and troubleshooting of subsystems and complete systems What You Need • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (B.Ing. / BSEE) • Experience with DSP/modem algorithms and design • Knowledge of RF systems and wireless communications • Knowledge of networking protocols and technologies • Laboratory testing experience with digital and RF systems using oscilloscopes, logic analysers, and spectrum analysers • Experience with scripting languages such as Python • Experience with mathematical modelling tools such as MATLAB • Experience with Linux/Unix operating systems • Strong problem-solving skills • Ability to work independently with high personal motivation • Good communication skills • Ability and willingness to learn quickly Nice to Have • FPGA design experience • Experience with HDL languages such as Verilog and VHDL • Embedded software experience with C/C++ • Passion for researching new technologies and their potential applications • Experience using agentic AI tools to improve productivity Industry-leading benefits and perks package; employer recognition as one of Canada's best employers for 8 consecutive years; commitment to continuous training and development; employee wellness and work-life balance focus; community initiatives and volunteering programmes
