National Bankruptcy Centre – Restructuring & Insolvency
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Insolvency Executive to join our market-leading personal insolvency team. This role is ideal for someone who wants to build a career in a top 10 professional services firm, specialising in personal insolvency and gain hands-on experience within a supportive, high-performing team.
You will support the administration of insolvency cases while developing the technical knowledge and practical experience needed to progress into full case administration running a portfolio of personal insolvency assignments, dealing with asset recovery, creditor claims, strategic operation of cases and stakeholder management. With training and support, you will have the opportunity to build your own case portfolio within your first 12 months.
About the role
• Aid and assist an experienced full time case administrator across the duties in their portfolio and build experience liaising with third parties, stakeholders and creditors.
• Manage incoming calls, messages, and post, ensuring prompt and professional communication.
• Maintain case records, archiving, and document control in line with internal procedures.
• Set up new cases on IPS Cloud and prepare the required case documentation.
• Create and update creditor records, ensuring information is accurate and complete.
• Draft routine case correspondence and support the preparation of statutory documentation.
• Monitor case diaries, tasks, and deadlines using IPS Cloud to help keep cases progressing efficiently.
• Prepare statutory case reviews, progress reports, remuneration approval reports, and decision procedure documentation for manager review.
• Support senior team members with case-related research, administration, and follow-up actions.
• Handle creditor queries by telephone and in writing, providing clear and professional responses.
• Liaise with agents, solicitors, and other stakeholders on case matters.
• Analyse bank statements and other personal and company records to support case administration.
• Take minutes at meetings and help track actions arising from them.
• Be proactive in identifying and progressing outstanding matters to support timely case delivery.
• Build strong working relationships with clients and intermediaries, including through attendance at relevant business development and networking events.
What we are looking for
We welcome candidates with a strong academic background and a genuine interest in insolvency and dealing with dispute resolution. A degree or qualification in accounting, finance, law, business, or a related field would be advantageous, but it is not essential.
You should be comfortable working with numbers, have strong written and verbal communication skills, and be motivated to learn and develop a long-term career in insolvency. Full training will be provided, and support towards professional qualifications may be available for the right candidate in the future.
