Description
We are seeking a Junior Estimator to support estimating and project delivery through quantity take-offs, CAD drafting, tender preparation, and project administration. Working closely with the Estimator, this role will help ensure accurate project documentation, estimating data, and technical information are prepared efficiently to support successful project delivery. Prepare accurate quantity take-offs from construction drawings using Groundplan. Interpret construction drawings and produce or update CAD drawings to support estimating activities. Assist with tender preparation, estimating documentation, and project administration using SIMPRO. Quantify dry fire products using company standards, templates, and pricing information. Prepare project handover packages, site safety documentation, and compliance paperwork. Maintain accurate project records, estimating data, and technical documentation. Support the Estimator and wider team by ensuring project information is accurate, organised, and delivered on time. Requirements Qualification in Drafting, Building Design, Engineering, Construction, or a related field is highly regarded, with 2–3 years of relevant industry experience. Strong proficiency in CAD software and the ability to interpret architectural and construction drawings. Experience performing quantity take-offs using Groundplan or similar estimating software. Proficiency with SIMPRO or similar construction/project management software is highly desirable. Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail. Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Experience in fire services, dry fire products, or construction environments is advantageous, along with a proactive and team-oriented attitude.
