The Vacancy
Role Summary: The Key Account Manager (KAM) – Commercial & Industrial will drive growth of Megger's C&I portfolio across North America by hunting, developing, and managing relationships with industrial end-users and OEMs.
The ideal candidate pairs strong new-business development with proactive account & relationship management skills, combined with a sense of urgency. Industrial sales experience and existing connections are strongly preferred though a proven sales hunter from an adjacent industry will also be considered.
Main Responsibilities
New Customer Development & Client Relationship Management
• Proactively prospect and hunt for new business across target industrial accounts, building a strong and sustainable pipeline
• Directly manage high-value and strategic territorial accounts, ensuring consistent engagement and satisfaction
• Build relationships with key customer stakeholders at all levels to convert prospects into long-term partnerships
Strategic Planning & Revenue Growth
• Develop account and territory plans aligned with customer initiatives and company objectives, identifying opportunities for new business, growth, and expansion
• Present new products and services for upselling and cross-selling to drive revenue growth within each account
• Research and pursue partnerships and strategic alliances to increase Megger's visibility and viability, both internally and within target accounts
Customer Engagement & Problem Solving
• Represent the full company portfolio to all commercial & industrial customers, identifying applications and opportunities for positioning Megger solutions
• Address customer issues promptly and effectively to protect and strengthen business relationships
Collaboration & Cross-Functional Alignment
• Partner with Regional Business Unit (RBU) Leads, Product Specialists, and internal stakeholders to deliver integrated customer solutions
• Provide market feedback and customer insights to inform business unit strategy and product development
Sales Performance & Reporting
• Use CRM to track key performance indicators, including customer visits, calls, emails, opportunities, lead management, and account planning/management
• Maintain an accurate sales pipeline for forecasting and provide monthly reporting on key account activity and client satisfaction
• Identify risks and opportunities within accounts and implement corrective actions as needed

Technical Skills/Knowledge/Qualifications
Soft Skills
• BA/BS Graduate - Engineering or Business preferred
• 3-5 years’ proven sales experience
• Demonstrated experience of penetrating and growing accounts from entry level to executive level
• Technical aptitude and confidence in learning technical equipment
• Strong Communication skills for complex products & processes
• Demonstrated experience and knowledge of test instruments/applications used in the electric power industry a plus
• Proficiency with a CRM platform, Excel, Word, and Outlook er industry
• Sense of Urgency – Requires rapid response with attention to detail at all times
• Customer Centric Mindset – customer first while balancing company requirements
• Negotiation – maximizing profitability while exceeding customer expectations
• Customer Relationship Management – building trust and long-term partners and addressing challenges or concerns as they arise
