Description
The Laboratory Analyst plays a vital role in ensuring the precision, reliability, and integrity of laboratory operations. This position involves performing routine and advanced testing, maintaining meticulous documentation, and supporting quality assurance initiatives. By upholding rigorous standards, the Laboratory Analyst contributes directly to the accuracy of all laboratory outputs and the advancement of scientific excellence. Key Responsibilities Testing & Sample Handling • Perform routine laboratory analyses in strict compliance with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). • Prepare and manage samples, reagents, and instrumentation required for testing. • Accurately record, organize, and maintain all analytical data to ensure traceability and completeness. Quality & Technical Support • Assist in the calibration, verification, and maintenance of laboratory equipment to guarantee optimal performance. • Participate in Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) programs, including control charting, proficiency testing, and internal audits. • Collaborate with technical staff to support method development, process improvements, and troubleshooting activities. Safety & Laboratory Housekeeping • Adhere to all safety protocols, including chemical handling, waste management, and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). • Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free laboratory environment to promote efficiency and safety. • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in laboratory safety and compliance. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry , Biochemistry , or a closely related scientific discipline. • Prior laboratory experience is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided. • Demonstrated ability to follow strict protocols with exceptional attention to detail. • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills. • Commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy, safety, and quality.
