The Opportunity This is a senior-level operational position designed for an experienced professional with strong technical expertise in both drinking water and wastewater treatment systems. We are seeking a versatile operator who can confidently oversee operations, troubleshooting, compliance, maintenance, and optimization activities across a variety of private water and wastewater facilities. Key Responsibilities • Operate, monitor, and maintain private water treatment, distribution, wastewater treatment, and collection systems • Ensure facilities remain compliant with all applicable MECP regulations and approvals • Monitor treatment processes and make operational adjustments to optimize performance • Conduct compliance sampling, testing, inspections, and process monitoring • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and process issues • Complete operational records and regulatory reporting requirements • Monitor and respond to SCADA alarms and notifications • Participate in on-call coverage and emergency response activities • Provide mentorship and technical support to junior operators
